Alii (Hello), Friends!
Ms. Pinetree's Hostel is owned and operated by myself, Ellen Toribiong-Marcia, and my husband, Nick Marcia. The name was inspired through my Palauan name, Dirrengas, which translates to "girl of the pine trees.”
In 1995, I relocated to the United States for many years and traveled to several other regions of the world. In 2011, my husband and I decided to return to Palau to raise our family, just as we had been raised—surrounded by nature and our island culture. We opened Ms. Pinetree’s in December 2013 with the aim to meet the growing need for comfortable yet affordable lodging for visitors. We’ve been thrilled by the interest and continued praise from our guests.
As globetrotters ourselves, we love meeting travelers from around the world and helping them experience the magic of these islands. If you are looking for a quality, personal, and affordable accommodation option in Koror, Palau, we look forward to welcoming you to Ms. Pinetree’s! We are here to assist you in any way - please contact us for more information about our Palau hostel!
